Peniche is known internationally for the exceptional conditions that have to water sports such as Surf, Bodyboard, among other sports-wave.
Its highest expression is the natural beach of Supertubos (Medão Grande), the scene of numerous international events related to these terms and authentic ex-libris for surfers around the world, alongside the world's best waves.
Its geographical conditions, while only nationally Peninsula, promote the perfect waves regardless of the direction of the waves and winds, and the beaches in the county are all a paradise for lovers these.
